 Coach Kevin Sumlin

Three-time national coach of the year finalist Kevin Sumlin was named head football coach at Texas A&M on Dec. 10, 2011, and has led the Aggies through their first three seasons in the Southeastern Conference. Sumlin has compiled a 28-11 record in three years in College Station, including victories in the 2013 Cotton Bowl, 2013 Chick-fil-A Bowl and 2014 Liberty Bowl.

In his first year as the Aggies’ head coach, Sumlin led A&M to its first 11-win season since 1998 and shook up the SEC with his effective high-tempo offense. The Aggies went 6-2 in conference play, defeating No. 1 Alabama in Tuscaloosa and going undefeated on the road.

A successful first season in Aggieland saw Sumlin garner his third spot as a national coach of the year finalist and coach the first-ever freshman to win the Heisman Trophy in quarterback Johnny Manziel. Sumlin also coached three other first-team All-Americans in his first season back in Aggieland in offensive tackles Luke Joeckel and Jake Matthews and defensive end Damontre Moore.

 Captain Joseph Kerwin & Gerry Griffin '56

Captain Joseph Kerwin is a former NASA astronaut who served as science-pilot for the Skylab 2 (SL-2) mission from May 25-June 22, 1973. He was the first physician to be selected for astronaut training.

 
 img  Mr. Gerry Griffin was a Flight Director in Mission Control during NASA’s Apollo Program. He led one of the Apollo 13 teams of flight controllers who were responsible for the safe return of the astronauts.

 


 Skip Wagner

Skip Wagner is the newly named president and CEO of the 12th Man Foundation. Mr. Wagner has been the president and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for the past eight years. Skip, an Oklahoma native, earned his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1982 and his master's in business administration from Harvard Business School in 1986. Skip and his wife Cindy have 4 children, Allie ('08), Crystal, Jack ('17) and Mark.


 

 Dr. Rick Rigsby

img   Dr. Rick Rigsby is founder of Rick Rigsby Ministries and president of Rick Rigsby Communications in Dallas, Texas. Rick preaches worldwide and speaks to corporations, schools and professional sports organizations including the NFL and the PGA. A career in television news and graduate school preceded two decades as a college professorthe last 14 years at Texas A&Mwhere Rick also served as character coach and chaplain for the Aggies football team. In addition to academic publications, Rick is the author of Lessons From a Third Grade Dropoutthe story of timeless common-sense wisdom learned from his father.

 Dr. David L. Chapman '67

Dr. David L. Chapman ‘67 is the retired director of Cushing Memorial Library, having served with the Texas A&M University Libraries for 39 years. Chapman, who held the Mavis P. and Mary W. Kelsey Professorship, directed Cushing Library from 2008 until his retirement in 2011. During this time, Cushing Memorial Library experienced a period of spectacular growth in its rare and special collections. In 2009 the University Libraries added its 4 millionth volume, an extremely rare edition of Don Quixote de la Mancha, and gained notoriety as a key player in the rare books world. Chapman began serving as University Archivist 1994 and is a past president of the Society of Southwest Archivists.

 

 

 


 

 

 Coach G Guerrieri
 img Coach Guerrieri is in his 22nd season, G Guerrieri is the only head coach in the history of Aggie Soccer. Guerrieri has built the Texas A&M program from scratch into one of the elite sides in the nation and he has the Maroon and White planted firmly atop the Southeastern Conference. This past season, he led the Aggies to their first College Cup appearance in school history.

In 2013, Guerrieri was recognized as the SEC Coach of the Year after leading the Aggies to a share of the regular-season title and a victory in the SEC Tournament championship match.

Coach G's Aggies have consistently been ranked in the national top 25 while attracting some of the top soccer players in the world to College Station.
