Bill Slade – Director of Golf
Bill is a native Texan and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from Texas A&M University in 1995. He has been in the golf business since 1999 and became a Class A, PGA Professional in November of 2006. Bill comes to us from a very successful 7 year career at Houston Country Club. At Houston Country Club, Bill was an award winning Professional as well as a very accomplished teacher, giving over 750 lessons annually. He also purchased for the golf shop that garnered the STPGA Merchandiser of the Year Award. As a three year Chairman of the Southern Texas PGA Assistant’s Committee, he oversaw the educational requirements and mentoring of over 200 golf professionals, making sure acceptable progress was met toward their goal of PGA membership. Bill is a member of the PGA President’s Council on Growing the Game. In his time away from the Club, Bill enjoys hunting, fishing and all things Aggie.

Jim Baetge – Director of Instruction
Jim is a Class A PGA Golf Professional with over 20 years of teaching experience. He is the recipient of the Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Leader Award and a 2008 National U.S. Kids Top 50 Golf Instructor. Jim has been a golf professional at several outstanding clubs such as Houston Country Club in Houston, TX and the Atlantic Club in Bridgehampton, NY. He was also the developer/owner/operator of the Lone Star Golf Academy in College Station, TX before joining the staff at the Traditions Club. 

Patrick Ascherl - First Assistant Golf Professional
Patrick is an Omaha, Nebraska native who grew up working and playing at different clubs throughout the Midwest. Prior to joining the professional staff at Traditions Club, Patrick earned his degree and Class A PGA status while attending New Mexico State University and their PGA Golf Management program. His previous work experience includes time at Houston Country Club, Yeamans Hall Club (Charleston, SC) and working for the PGA of America running their national PGA Junior Series.
